Corners Break

Just about at the point when all changes

you forget to be concerned about drought or rain
you look at the clock
its ticking and you think of the passing seconds
you look at the skin on your hands and rehearse
washing them

you think of the things that concern you
and then stop

the corner is sharp and working your abdomen around
is delicate and uneasy

in that moment you forget everything
and in the next

nothing is new
