Fragility in Water

She moans the night away
fragile hours spent eyes hooked under light
taking in breath more often than letting it out
the moon and the distance between her hands
the way the light burns her eyes into the mirror
the way the light pours over her buttocks make the moon shiver
in socks after gin and pounding of lemons
trocks in the fog, maple leaf fingers under each
arm the wavey signs of age fit perfectly
resonate with the music
perfection undulating
water silently wraps its vapidity along each crack
the tension is cemented into the moment
the instant sculpture of electric agony
placed into history with white gloves
and dissected ever after over a glass of malt
slowly warmed in the flesh of her wooden palm
