the guns are not so much the real problem
the people, they ain’t neither
it’s the rats in your shoes that makes it erupt
it is long term hatred brewing in the shadow
carving out hollows into which old ideas fester
fully fledged dreams and ideas from the implanted
who they were
and where they came from
how this is possibly
important to those
who lay claim to
enormous resources
can they vacuum up the souls
as they linger upon the threshold
of another day
