My happiness makes me nervous
As I look down the alleyway I call future
the walls narrow on each side, there’s
pressure applied and me caught in the centre
When calm, the weather falls gracefully
and the urge to exceed is distant
but my happiness makes me lunge forward
excites me in a way that is not-healthy
as I quake with joy
my hands on the control steering
the universe it starts to wobble
so I stumble and roll along the edge
fall down into the bullseye
impatient for a result
killing off all possibility
of recovering the position
I started in
